Zaak has been an award-winning writer for over thirty years. As a member of the esteemed Dramatist Guild, his accolades range from screenplays to theatrical productions to self-help magazine articles. Woven throughout his numerous works has been a rooted concern for all people—especially those who are downtrodden the disenfranchised, giving them hope for a brighter future for themselves. His great-grandfather was a slave in North Carolina. There, the ‘Master’ named him. Generations later, despite obvious obstacles, Zaak’s father rose to the rank of Captain in the United States Army during the Korean War. Zaak’s uncle was a distinguished member of the original Tuskegee Airmen, having made it to the rank of Colonel in the United States Air Force during World War II. No one loves America more than Zaak Faran. Presently, he lives in New Jersey, divorced with no children.
